In year 1978 the Elementi Kindergarten was established and provided quality kindergarten service in Shaukiwan, the east district of Hong Kong. Together with a group of devoted teachers, integrated teaching approach was being implemented, kindergarten curriculum was being improved and diversified creative teaching tools and materials were being created and designed. In 1995, The first Shaukiwan campus on Oi-Man Street was given the opportunity to relocate for expansions. With the fervent support from Mr. Cheung Kam Tim M.B.E., Chairman of Shaukiwan Kai Fong Welfare Community Centre, the non-profit-making Elementi Kindergarten was successfully reformed with Mrs To Chan Wai Yee, Elementi Founder. The new campus provided spacious ambiance and excellent facilities. The children and parents of Shaukiwan district were well beneficiary. The school also seized this opportunity to kick off focused training and fully implement creative teaching and learning activity specially designed for children. In those days, Project Approach was considered to be novel. Adhering to the spirit and belief of conferring benefits on society which was put forth by Chairman Cheung, Shaukiwan Kai Fong Welfare Community Centre Kindergarten was renamed as Shaukiwan Kai Fong Welfare Community Centre Cheung Kam Tim Memorial Kindergarten on 1st August 2013. The rename of kindergarten was sincerely in memorial of Mr. Cheung Kam Tim contribution to Hong Kong Preschool Education Service.
